Winter Detail Spotlight: Ford F250 Full Transformation
Winter can be tough on vehicles, especially large ones like the Ford F250. Harsh road conditions, salt, and grime can wreak havoc on both the exterior and interior. That’s why we were excited to take on a full detail of this beastly truck and bring it back to like-new condition. Here’s a breakdown of the process and the stellar results that left our customer overjoyed.
The Exterior: Built Tough, Cleaned Thoroughly
Cleaning a Ford F250’s exterior is no small feat, but we approached the task with precision and care:
- Pre-Alkaline Wash: We started with a pre-alkaline wash to break down tough grime and grease, preparing the surface for deeper cleaning.
- Iron Decontamination: Next, we used an iron remover to dissolve embedded contaminants, ensuring the paint surface was free from particles that can cause long-term damage.
- Foam Bath & Scrub: A thick foam bath was applied to encapsulate and lift dirt, followed by a gentle yet thorough scrub to remove stubborn debris.
- Tire, Rim, and Wheel Well Detail: The tires, rims, and wheel wells were meticulously cleaned to eliminate mud and salt buildup.
- Tire, Trim, and Wheel Well Dressing: Using an air compressor gun, we applied a dressing that not only restores the deep black finish but also protects against winter elements.
- Under-Carriage Pressure Wash: The undercarriage received a high-pressure wash to flush out salt and grime that could lead to corrosion.
- 6-8+ Month Ceramic-Based Sealant: We finished with a durable ceramic-based sealant, providing long-lasting protection and a glossy finish that will withstand months of winter exposure.
The Interior: Restoring Comfort and Cleanliness
Inside the truck, we aimed to tackle months of dirt and stains and transform the cabin into a fresh, welcoming space:
- Air Compressor Blowout: We used an air compressor to blow out debris from hard-to-reach areas, leaving nothing behind.
- Vacuum: A powerful vacuuming ensured all loose dirt and crumbs were removed.
- Steam Cleaning & Shampooing: High-temperature steam cleaning and shampooing tackled stubborn stains and sanitized surfaces.
- Hot Water Extraction: For the seats and carpets, we employed a hot water extractor to remove deep-set grime and stains, leaving them spotless.
- Interior Dressing: All surfaces were dressed with a protectant, giving them a polished appearance while guarding against future wear and tear.
The Results
The entire detailing process took approximately five hours, but the results were well worth it. The truck looked incredible inside and out, with every surface spotless, protected, and rejuvenated. The customer’s Google review says it all:
“I am beyond pleased with the work done to my pickup truck. It removed all the stains from the seats, gave a nice wax, and my car hasn’t looked this new since I drove it off the dealer. Thank you for the amazing work. I will definitely recommend to all my friends.”
